British Transport Police have released CCTV footage following an incident where a man exposed himself and masturbated on a southbound train in Bedford on the morning of Sunday, 26 April. The incident occurred just before 6am as the train was preparing to depart from Bedford station.
The man boarded the train at Bedford station and walked through the carriages while exposing himself. This disturbing behaviour took place before the train had even left the platform.
A member of the public witnessed the indecent exposure and promptly alerted train staff. As a result, the man was swiftly removed from the train, and the situation was contained.
Detectives are urging anyone who recognises the man from the CCTV footage to come forward and assist with the investigation. British Transport Police have issued the CCTV image of the suspect and are requesting the public’s help in identifying him.
Anyone with information is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 110 of 26 April. Information can also be provided confidentially to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where anonymity is guaranteed for witnesses or informants.
