Two fishermen were rescued after their 10-metre fishing boat sank off the Isle of Man on Wednesday evening.
At 6pm, the Belfast Coastguard Operations Centre received an emergency signal when the men activated their Personal Locator Beacons (PLBs) from their life raft.
HM Coastguard swiftly launched a rescue operation, calling in RNLI lifeboats from Port St Mary and Port Erin, as well as a helicopter from Caernarfon.
Thanks to the precise location provided by the PLBs, rescuers found the fishermen wearing life jackets and safely aboard the Port Erin lifeboat.
The prompt action of the crew and the coordinated response from rescue services ensured both men made it back to shore unharmed.
The cause of the sinking remains under investigation.
