An urgent manhunt has been launched at Rudyard Lake in Staffordshire following an incident on Saturday night where three teenagers fell into the water. The emergency response began around 9:30 PM, involving police, paramedics, firefighters, and the National Police Air Service.

Staffordshire Police confirmed that the three boys, all approximately 17 years old, were seen struggling in the lake. Two of the teenagers managed to escape and received treatment at the scene before being taken to hospital. The third teenager remains missing.

Specialist teams from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue are conducting a thorough search of the area, supported by aerial units, in an effort to locate the missing boy.

Authorities have sealed off the area and advised the public to avoid the vicinity while the search operation continues. Emergency crews are using all available resources to find the missing teenager and ensure his safety.

Rudyard Lake, located just northwest of Leek, Staffordshire, is a historic reservoir dating back to the late 18th century, originally constructed to supply the Caldon Canal. Today, it is a popular location for boating, fishing, and canoeing. The current search has turned this scenic spot into a critical emergency zone as responders work against time to find the missing teenager.
