Controversial YouTuber Curtis Arnold, known for his involvement in the Nicola Bulley case, has once again made headlines after a drone incident at the historic Hartlebury Castle. Arnold flew a drone over the estate without obtaining permission, which led to a heated confrontation with the castle’s security team.
In a video posted on his DJE Media YouTube channel, Arnold captured the exchange with castle staff. The security team clearly informed him that drone flying and filming on the premises are prohibited without prior consent. They also emphasised that any footage intended for commercial use requires a formal agreement with the castle.
Arnold, who introduced himself as “Dan” in the video, challenged the staff’s understanding of drone regulations, claiming they were “misinformed” and insisting he was acting within his legal rights. He admitted he expected to earn between £500 and £600 from the video but declined to sign any commercial agreement with Hartlebury Castle.
One staff member responded, “If you’re not prepared to agree to a commercial agreement, then we can’t allow the filming on site right now.” Despite this, Arnold proceeded to upload the drone footage, which has since attracted over 54,000 views.
The former Kidderminster barber praised the “lovely staff” at the castle and encouraged his followers to visit the site. However, Hartlebury Castle has chosen not to comment publicly on the incident.
This episode adds to the ongoing controversy surrounding Arnold, who recently appeared in the BBC documentary The Search For Nicola Bulley. The documentary has increased his notoriety and solidified his position as one of the UK’s most divisive online personalities.
