A3 SHUT SOUTHBOUND After Single-Vehicle Crash and Oil Spill

The A3 is shut southbound from the B3006 junction to the A2727 near Liss. Hampshire Police closed the road early Friday after a single-vehicle crash left a nasty oil spill on the carriageway.

Driver Arrested for Drink/Drug Driving

One man was arrested at the scene for drink and drug driving. Thankfully, he escaped without injury. He remains in custody at portsmouth/" title="Portsmouth" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Portsmouth Central Police Station as inquiries continue.

Expect Major Delays – Follow Detours Now

The closure is causing serious disruption. Drivers heading into the area should brace for long delays and may need to reroute.

Official Diversion Route:

  • Exit the A3 southbound at Ham Barn roundabout.
  • Take the 1st exit onto the B3006.
  • Drive through Liss, then turn right onto Farnham Road.
  • At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit to rejoin the A3 southbound.
